Build Real Financial Skills That Actually Stick

Most people don't struggle with budgeting because they lack willpower. They struggle because nobody taught them how money actually works in everyday life.

Our program runs from September 2025 through February 2026, meeting twice monthly in Canberra. We work with small groups—usually 12 to 15 people—because financial conversations need space to breathe.

What You'll Actually Learn

Forget generic advice about cutting coffee purchases. We dig into the specific money situations Australians face—from navigating HECS debt to understanding superannuation without falling asleep.

Money Psychology

Why do you spend money on things you don't need? We examine the emotional triggers behind financial decisions. Most participants say this module changed how they think about purchases permanently.

Who's Teaching This

We've worked with hundreds of people trying to get their finances sorted. Some came to us drowning in debt. Others earned good salaries but couldn't figure out where the money went. What surprised us most? The problems are usually simpler than people think—but the solutions require honesty about your actual habits.

Lead Program Facilitator

Spent fifteen years in retail banking before realizing most financial advice completely ignores how people actually make decisions. Now focuses on practical strategies that work with human nature instead of against it.

Started teaching budgeting after getting frustrated with how complicated most systems were. Believes the best budget is the one you'll actually use—even if it looks nothing like the textbook version.
